This Single Dad Felt Bad About His Smile. He Was Shocked When A Customer Said THIS…

In Wichita, KS, one hard-working waiter has recently earned a very large tip — and with it, a new lease on life. Although many waiters and waitresses have been touched by the kindness of strangers — like the woman who got a $500 tip — this particular story is sure to leave you speechless.

Brian Maixner, a 43-year-old single dad, has been working as a food server for over 20 years. With his friendly smile and top-dollar service, Brian's customers have always left very satisfied. Bubbly and sweet-hearted, Brian is beloved by town locals.

But beneath Brian's joyful exterior lurked a painful struggle: his teeth.

His dental issues started off small — a chipped tooth here and a cavity there — but without dental insurance, Brian was unable to stave off their decay. “It’s kind of weird how a smile and your teeth can change your attitude," said Brian. "I used to be even more happy than I am now, and I’m already a happy person. But I used to have an ear-to-ear grin."

So when one particular customer made a comment about Brian's damaged teeth, Brian and his co-workers were shocked. The kindness that followed had me bawling like a baby!

Fred Boettcher, a successful out-of-town attorney, was dining at the Doo-Dah Diner when he noticed his waiter's badly damaged teeth. Having suffered from dental issues himself as a kid, Fred felt he had to do something.

“This young man, he just touched me,” said Fred to local news. “He was a clean-cut young guy with a smile like an angel, and I thought, ‘I’ve got to help.’ ” Fred approached the diner's owner and asked if she thought Brian would accept his help.

Fred offered to completely cover Brian's dental work — essentially leaving him a $25,000 tip! When Brian learned of Fred's stunning offer, he was brought to tears.

"This man doesn't know me and this is something I could never afford to do for myself," he said. "It touched me so much that he cared."

But this isn't Fred's first huge act of kindness; over the past few years, he's offered to pay for several people's dental work.

Of her dad's kind heart, Fred's daughter remarked, "Dad gives so much. I remember him buying groceries for people in need when we were growing up."

But to Fred, helping others is a way of life. "I can do it, and I should be doing it,” he said. “No matter what religion you might be… the way to be satisfied in your life is to be kind to everybody and be as generous as you possibly can be."

Now, Brian's future is as bright and sparkly as his smile! Though he has to adjust his speech and stick to soft foods for a bit, the whole experience has changed his life. “I’m enjoying the heck out of this!” he said.
