Waitress Hears Couple Lost Their Baby, Leaves A Note On Their Receipt

A receipt left by a waitress is going viral for one incredible reason.

When Debbie and Shaun Riddle were dining at one of their favorite cafes in Fort Worth, TX they didn't expect this.

"We are just so overwhelmed by all of the support we have received," Debbie told WFAA.

The smallest gestures can have the biggest impact. This story reminds me of another, where an exhausted mom received a free meal at Chik-fil-A. The cashier had no idea she had spent the day worrying about her sick child in the hospital. The tiny act of kindness made her day.

While at the West Side Cafe, a waitress named Kayla recognized the couple and had previously seen them with a baby girl.

Kayla asked how the baby was doing but Debbie and Shaun had some bad news. Their newborn had unexpectedly passed away.

What Kayla did next left a huge impression on them.

"I have so much more I could add but can't find the words to truly express what a profound impact this 'random act of kindness' has had on our family, Kayla's family and hundreds if not thousands more people worldwide," Debbie said.

When baby Glory was born her parents, Shaun and Debbie Riddle, welcomed her with open arms.

Unfortunately, when Glory was just nine weeks old she did not wake up from her nap. Her parents still do not know why.

Debbie and Shaun regularly frequented the West Side Cafe. While they were dining one day a waitress named Kayla asked how their baby girl was doing. Kayla was being polite and had not heard the news.

When Debbie and Shaun filled Kayla in, she gave the couple her condolences and returned with this receipt.

"We eat at West Side Cafe on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth quite a lot and last month sometime we took our new baby, Glory in. Well, we just went there this afternoon and our waitress Kayla remembered us and asked where our baby was. Sadly, we had to tell her baby Glory passed away and is with God now." Debbie wrote.

" She felt so horrible for asking but she was so sweet. When it was time for us to pay our bill, Kayla brings over our receipt. She didn't even want us to tip her because she said the company took care of her tip as well. We hear so much negativity on the
