Waitress Cries Serving ‘One Of the Worst Tables,’ Then Man Overhears And Leaves Note About Them

Being a waitress isn't an easy job, and it certainly isn't the most rewarding one out there. Sometimes, customers can be rude for no reason, and that can really ruin someone's day.

A young woman named Elissa experienced a pretty nasty encounter with a few customers while at work at JB's Family Restaurant. She called them one of her worst tables because of how rude they were, and because they were accusing her of being rude.

She was so hurt by their attitude that she burst into tears while trying to take the order of another man sitting nearby. The same man then stood up for her to the others, and let her compose herself before carrying with her work.

Elissa was grateful for his kindness but never expected him to make her day so much better. Not only did he leave her a 500 percent tip — he also left a supportive and encouraging note.

You can read the kind note and Elissa's story below!

I served one of the worst tables today. There aren’t enough adverbs for how they acted.

But, I had someone who I would describe as a total angel turn my night around.

He noticed how I was being treated by this table and stood up for me to state that they were being rude, although they were accusing me of being so.

I ended up bursting into tears at his table and he handed me his napkin and allowed me the time to get myself together before he gave me his order.

He was so kind to me, apologized for how I was being treated, talked me down from my tears, made me laugh, and ended up leaving me a 500% tip along with this extremely sweet note, which says:

‘Like your pens, people come in all colors, nice, rude, and sometimes jerks. Don’t let them ruin your day. Now have dinner sometime on the nice people. Have a great shift. Your new friend.’

I burst into tears again after seeing that.

People like that are gifts, and I am humbled and so thankful for his light, kindness, and generosity in ways that went far beyond monetary.
