This Watermelon Keg Tutorial Will Take Your Picnics To The Next Level

There's nothing like digging into a cool refreshing watermelon on a hot summer day.

Although, watermelon isn't just for summer: in the cooler months, try making this watermelon teapot!

While watermelons are 92% water — hence why they feel so hydrating — they are also super nutrient-dense.

According to Live Science: "Each juicy bite has significant levels of vitamins A, B6 and C, lots of lycopene, antioxidants and amino acids. There's even a modest amount of potassium. Plus, this quintessential summer snack is fat-free, very low in sodium and has only 40 calories per cup."

The fruit's high levels of lycopene can help prevent heart disease, prostate cancer and is excellent for bone health. Nature's gifts are ripe, plentiful, and healing!

In this video you'll find a tasty and (partially) healthy recipe for an easy watermelon keg.

All you'll need is a watermelon, ice, a beer tap and your favorite alcoholic beverage. They use Seagram's Escapes Watermelon Splash in the video, but feel free to add vodka or rum.

I'm not much of a drinker, so I like to add orange or pineapple juice for a sweet and tasty juice drink.
