Mom Sheds 77 Pounds In Less Than A Year By Cooking Dinner With An Instant Pot Every Night

Anyone who's ever tried to lose a significant amount of weight knows it's not easy. Sometimes no amount of dieting or calorie counting can get you the results you're hoping to achieve.

Like many of us, Brittany Williams — who used to weigh 260 pounds — had failed to lose weight a number of times in the past.

However, to meet her weight-loss goals in 2017, Brittany was willing to try something new — something that might've just been crazy enough to work.

Brittany challenged herself to make dinner every night using her Instant Pot, a device that can make cooking food both healthier and easier.

Much to Brittany's astonishment, the pounds started falling right off. In fact, Brittany shed 77 of her overall 125 pounds lost in just one year.

The only thing more amazing than Brittany's weight loss is the fact that she didn't have to starve herself to get where she wanted to be. Check out Brittany's amazing progress.

Brittany decided to share her weight-loss journey on her Instagram, which is appropriately titled instantloss.

Brittany's big secret to success is using her Instant Pot to cook healthy meals.

She admits that she'd had it for four years and used it to make things like ribs and mac and cheese before trading those in for lighter fare.

Of course, the Instant Pot isn't a miracle worker. Brittany explains to People that she cooks mainly with unprocessed foods and has cut out most grain and sugars.

Luckily, that doesn't mean she can't enjoy something like this delicious chowder.

As you can see, whatever Brittany is doing is working. The mom has lost 77 pounds, and she's no longer afraid to pose in photos the way she was when she was the weight on the left.

Brittany explains on her Instagram:

The photo on the left is one of the only photos I have of me from Thanksgiving 2016. I used to avoid photos at all cost especially full body photos. I don’t have many family photos from years past because I was embarrassed about my weight. Looking back I wish I would have just gotten over myself and taken the photos. It makes me sad to not have many photos of my kiddos and I from their earliest days because I was ashamed. No more.

As drastic as her weight loss is, Brittany barely noticed it herself until she began creating side-by-side photos like this one.

Other than healthy cooking, Brittany has a few other tricks up her sleeve.

For instance:

Just eat real food! Let your hand be your guide, seriously, look at your hand and make a fist. That’s the size your stomach is supposed to be. If your meals and snacks are that size and you’re eating real unprocessed food in conjunction with drinking tons of water you will lose weight.

Brittany says being able to document her journey and hold herself accountable has also allowed her to stay on track.

Here, she recreated what she calls an "awful before picture" to show how far she's come.

One thing is for sure: Brittany certainly looks a lot happier now that she's at a healthier weight. That's reason enough to change your lifestyle for the better.
