Vietnam Vet Arrested For Spilling Coffee On Westboro Baptist Church Members

The American flag has a special meaning to 64-year-old Richard Pierce. As a former Marine and a Vietnam veteran, he's seen firsthand just how many people lived and died defending old glory.

The Westboro Baptist Church, who was picketing the funeral of Vice President Joe Biden's Son, was doing their regular thing: yelling about how God hates America, and just being as offensive as possible. During the picket itself there were no incidents, but when Pierce saw members of the "Church" desecrating that very flag that he risked his life for, he understandably lost his cool.

He happened to be holding a cup of coffee when he saw them stomping on the flag, and from that moment on, Pierce couldn't hold back. He said that the only way he could demonstrate back was by spilling his coffee on them.

Pierce was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and is set for his hearing on July 20th.

Hopefully the church will pay for Pierce to have a new cup of coffee once they're finished annoying everyone at the next funeral.
