Back in the ’90s, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey celebrated more #1 hits than any other female artists on the planet. For years, it was believed they were rivals, but Whitney and Mariah put those rumors to rest when they teamed up to record the following song. In 1998, the megastars performed together for the very first time, and it was absolutely epic. Whitney and Mariah blessed The Oprah Winfrey Show with an inspiring duet off the soundtrack of The Prince of Egypt called "When You Believe."
Hearing these two sing together, it's hard not to be mesmerized by their powerhouse voices and effortless harmonies. Now that the world has lost Whitney, it's songs like this one that continue to live on. After Whitney's death, Mariah spoke to Good Morning America about her close friendship with the fallen star: “I’m almost incapable of talking about it. It’s very heavy for me emotionally. It was great and I don't think people could ever understand our relationship… I loved her. We all loved her. May she rest in peace… her legend's gonna go on forever."
Check out the beautiful performance for yourself, but prepare to feel some chills running down your spine. Please SHARE this with your friends on Facebook!
