Wildlife Rescuer Goes To Great Lengths To Save Trapped Deer

Deer are beautiful animals. If you are lucky enough to see them in the wild it is usually for only a few minutes, or even a split second, as they gracefully dart through the woods or take a quiet and very still moment to observe  before quickly scurrying back into a secluded area, where they are out of plain view.

Because they are such peaceful and pretty creatures, seeing one in trouble or hurt can be absolutely heart breaking.

Luckily, people like Simon from Wildlife Aid exist and they will g to great lengths, even putting their own safety at risk, in order to help these animals when they need it the most.

As Simon explains, it is not uncommon for deer to find themselves in some pretty dangerous situations when it comes to trying to squeeze through fences. Because their heads and shoulders usually slide through with ease, the deer think they can fit their entire bodies through, but they wind up getting caught right around their rib cages.

Like another deer rescue Simon lead, when a fawn found itself trapped in a narrow hole below ground, the rescue in this video requires a certain amount of patience and very careful execution to make sure that the animal and rescuer stays safe.

After climbing a fence (and falling off of it), struggling to pull apart the bars on the fence the deer was stuck in, doing a thorough check of the deers welfare and listening to the extremely sad cries coming from the frightened animal, Simon is able to once again pull off an incredible rescue!
