See The Moment Rescuers Save A Dying Wolf From An Icy River

You've probably heard the story of the big, bad wolf before, but what happens in this next video will make you realize how every one of God's creatures deserves the same love and respect, no matter how "scary" they may be.

We've seen a lot of pretty amazing animal rescues here at LittleThings. From dogs like this one who have been able to bounce back from unthinkable cruelty to people who take the time to rescue lost newborns like a little boy did with this baby bird, we know that no animal is too small or too unimportant to get a second chance.

That's why some good people in Limentra in Camugnano, Italy refused to ignore a severely injured wolf who they found slowly dying in an icy river. The wolf suffered from hypothermia, was malnourished, had been shot with 35 lead pellets and was completely paralyzed when they discovered him. According to a translation of the following video (which really needs no translation), the wolf, who rescuers named Navarre, had no heartbeat and stopped breathing when they tranquilized him to safely pull him out of the ice-cold waters. However, by some miracle of life, the injured wolf refused to give up.

When rescuers were able to revive and warm up the wolf, he was brought to Monte Adone Rescue Centre, where he received two weeks of intensive, around the clock care. Miraculously, the wolf survived the near-death experience and is now able to walk again. This heartwarming video is proof that there are good people out there who know the true value of life.
