Jaime Carnucci suffered a spinal cord injury in August that paralyzed her left side, and doctors weren't sure if she'd be able to walk again. But she refused to give up and prayed for a miracle. Now 70 days of surgeries and rehabilitation, she has walked through the front door of her home!
Back in August, she had been vacationing with her husband, Frank Carnucci, and a few friends when she dove into the shallow lake and hit the bottom at an weird angle. Thankfully, an emergency surgery that night ended up saving her ability to move. After recovering at the hospital, the mom of two was moved to a rehabilitation center where she pushed herself and eventually regained her ability to walk.
Jaime still has a ways to go and still hasn't regained full function of her left side. She will continue going to rehab but strongly believes with a little perseverance, she'll be able to see more improvements when using her left leg and hand. Go Jamie!
