When Ashley Bridges was 10 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with bone cancer.
Doctors told her she should start chemotherapy immediately, but if she did, she would have to terminate her pregnancy. Instead of doing that, Ashley opted to have her naturally.
“There’s no way I cold kill a healthy baby because I’m sick," Bridges said.
When she was eight months, doctors told her that the cancer had spread, and was terminal. Ashley had to deliver her baby, Paisley, immediately, and luckily, Paisley was perfectly healthy.
Even though Ashley's fate seems grim, there is a ray of hope. She recently posted that the cancer hadn't spread as fast as doctors originally thought, and she might be able to beat the prognosis of only a year to live.
