When Copper the fox kit became separated from his mother, he spent days by himself, suffering from malnutrition and exhaustion. He was eventually rescued and taken to the Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre in Portreath, where he has been treated and cared for. As you can see in this video, Copper has made a full recovery!
And the best part is, he's also made a friend! Within a few days of arriving, Copper met Jack, the one year old dog of the manager who runs Feadon Farm. It's always hard to tell how a dog is going to react to a fox – after all, many of them instinctually feel the need to chase and kill them – but Copper and Jack play like brothers, and Jack's owner knows that Copper is truly safe with his new friend!
This is such a wonderful story! Even though these two should be natural enemies, in this situation, they've formed a bond that can't be denied!
