Police Officer Adopts ‘Vicious’ Pit Bull He Rescued From The Streets! What A HERO!

Officer Dan Waskiewicz was called about a disturbance on Baltimore street. Residents said there was a "vicious" pit bull that was trying to attack them. When Waskewicz arrived, however, he saw something very different.

"Being a dog lover, I got out of my car and called the “vicious dog” over to me. The dog came over with its tail between its legs and panting," the police officer told news outlets.

Recognizing that the pit pull was just nervous and abandoned, Waskewicz gave him some water and got him to come into his police car. "On the way to the shelter the dog continued to lick the officer, before curling up next to him and falling asleep."

After dropping the dog off at a local shelter, Waskewicz went to check on him a few days later. The dog still hadn't been claimed, so Waskewicz decided he was going to adopt him, bringing him home and renaming him Bo.

The Baltimore Humane Society was so thankful for Waskewicz's calm and heartfelt actions that they gave him a certificate of appreciation, and even featured him in their ad campaigns.

I love reading stories like this! Some people just understand animals better than others, and I'm glad this police officer was there to give Bo the love he so deserved!
