It’s said that a dog is a man’s best friend, but sometimes a man isn’t a friend to anyone.
It’s always hard to wrap your mind around what kind of person abuses a dog. Yet, it seems to happen so often, like in the case of Charlie Bravo, a pup who was discovered in a locked dog carrier abandoned on the side of a rural road.
A few statistics put together by the American Humane Association, however, shed a little light on the subject showing a direct link between people who abuse animals and people who commit domestic violence.
These facts are bleak, but despite all the evil in the world, there’s still a lot of good, and plenty of good people.
Two women were walking near a dry riverbed in Messina, Italy when they stumbled upon a trash bag. They heard whimpers coming from it and tore it open. What they found was absolutely heartbreaking.

The women found a poor, abandoned dog inside the moving trash bag.
The dog’s legs had been bound with electrical wire before it was put into a garbage bag and dumped by the river. To add to the horror, he was trapped next to the body of a dead calf.

Linda Li, an animal rescue volunteer, was soon called onto the scene. She noticed he was covered with fly larvae and hundreds of ticks. He was in complete shock. She gave the dehydrated dog some water.

He was then rushed to the vet, where it was discovered that his hind legs may be paralyzed due to an unknown trauma.
Yet, the sweet dog still wagged his tail. And you have GOT to see his miraculous transition on the next page!

Due to Oliveiro’s charming personality, he was quickly adopted by Dominique Mastroianni.
He has been with her for over a year.
Best part? His legs are now fine!
He is loving his new life, which includes a couple canine siblings who he loves to play with.
Dominique’s husband also adores Oliveiro, and the feeling is returned.
Oliveiro has a brand new lease on life thanks to the kind strangers who took time to rescue him.
He has gone from being abandoned and alone to being surrounded by a loving family!
“My darling! You are no longer the same.”
It’s a remarkable transformation for a lucky, beautiful dog.
