As someone who's never attended a live auction myself, I can't say things would've gone much differently for me than they did for this poor guy.
I get nervous bidding on items on eBay, I can't imagine what it would be like if I had live people shouting all around me.
It's this fast-paced atmosphere that Bert Kreischer seems to have fallen victim to.
When Kreischer simply tried to jump the price up on a friend's cow by putting in the first bid, things went south very quickly for him.
As it turns out, no one else put a bid on that particular cattle and Kreischer ended up the proud owner of a newly purchased cow.
As soon as he realized what had happened, he went hysterical. He couldn't even breathe he was laughing so hard!
But, once he heard how much he'd bid, he wasn't laughing so loudly anymore.
The cow came in at a whopping $1,400, which Kreischer was able to haggle down to $1,100.
Though he wasn't planning on walking away from the auction with a new pet, he seemed content with his purchase by the time he got back home.
And the cattle seemed very please to be running free after his time at the auction and journey to his new home.
