Pets really do love their owners, and in this clip, we see how much adopted pitbull Darla misses her new mom when she leaves the house for only a few hours. In the video uploaded by YouTube user Luke Austin Daugherty, he explains that his daughter, Lydia, has been wanting a dog forever and recently adopted Darla at the "Indy Mega Adoption Event" in Indianapolis. After several days of bonding with Lydia, Daugherty was surprised at how Darla reacted when his wife and daughter left to see a movie, leaving Darla without them for the first time since being welcomed into the family.
It was the first time Lydia had left her since she came home, and when Darla heard the family's van leaving, she jumped up on the couch to look out the window and started whining as the van faded out of sight. She whimpers ands cries, even though Daugherty tried to calm the dog and tell her they'd be back soon. It's amazing how quickly a bond can form between a dog and his favorite person.
