A Bald Eagle Joins A Man While He’s Hang Gliding

While I’m deathly afraid of heights, I do sometimes feel a bit envious of the people who get to do things like this and don’t immediately panic at the first gust of wind. Dan Tuckwiller is an avid hang glider, and seems quite good at it.

But he was recently accompanied by an unexpected guest on one of his windswept excursions.

From seemingly out of nowhere, a bald eagle rose up from the treetops to join Tuckwiller in his slice of the sky.

It’s truly a beautiful and breathtaking sight to witness. We don’t always get to see bald eagles willingly approach humans, but it seems that perhaps when we visit their domain up in the air, they’re more likely to "hang" with us.

Get it? I liked that one.

For something a little more silly, there was that video of the giant bald eagle that enjoyed a dip in a birdbath. Other animals aren’t immune to the charms of these incredible birds of prey, either!

There was that fearless cat that played with two of them at the same time.

Here, though, this bald eagle seems as calm and cool as ever — peacefully joining a passing hang glider for a moment or two before moving on again. I’m sure they’re very busy, being the symbol of our nation and all.
