Fiona, a poodle mix, was living in a trash pile in Los Angeles after her previous owners abandoned her. Thankfully, Animal rescue group Hope For Paws found the blind dog and was able to save her life. This is one of the most heartwarming and emotional animal rescues.
In the weeks following the rescue, Fiona was on the road to recovery. The dog's rescuers even raised thousands of dollars for a surgery that restored vision in one of the abandoned pooch's eyes. The other was too badly damaged to be salvaged. Fiona is now doing well and has been adopted by a couple in Southern California, who've given her a loving and stable home.
