A Hungry, Homeless Dog Sticks His Head Into A Vending Machine…But Watch How He’s Rewarded!

Hunger can feel like such a huge problem that it almost seems like society simply cannot solve them.

All massive issues appear impossible to solve…until someone does something great.

The city of Istanbul, Turkey has a huge stray dog and cat problem.

It takes a special person — like this young man who helped some strays or Alex, who is reducing the stray dog population with cookies — to take time out of their lives and help an innocent animal.

While many of Istanbul's stray animals rely on kind humans to feed them, a lot of them meet less-than-fortunate fates.

Lack of nutrition due to no food and water is a huge issue for the strays who roam the Istanbul streets hungry and alone.

Complaints from residents to the government forced them to create a solution — I long for the day we see something like this in the United States.

Here in the U.S., there's an estimated 74–96 million stray cats and an estimated 70–80 million stray dogs.

Yet, only 1-in-10 dogs born will find a permanent home. The more I think about the homeless animals out there, who outnumber homeless people 5–1, the more I am filled with sadness.

Then I saw this stray dog in Istanbul, he wanders around, he stumbles across this white box and suddenly there was hope…
