The only thing worse than someone not being impressed with a surprise, is someone ruining a surprise. It almost happened when this dad refused to believe that his daughter was trying to surprise him with a motorcycle. But you can't really blame someone for trying. There is a certain satisfaction that comes from figuring out a surprise. Of course, it's debatable whether that feeling is better than actually being surprised, but to each his own.
The video below showcases one of these moments. A man surprises his girlfriend with an early birthday gift — or rather, tries to keep his surprise alive!
The video begins with the man revealing the gift to his audience: a sleepy, adorable little boxer puppy lying on the bed.
He then moves to the window to show his girlfriend driving home.
When she comes in through the door, she's immediately greeted by their other boxer, Bentley.
Her boyfriend says he had an early birthday gift for her, and within seconds of looking around, she immediately asks, "Where's the puppy?"
Then her mom comes over, and again the woman asks, "Where's the puppy?"
Mom shakes her head and points at her daughter's boyfriend. No doubt desperate to keep the surprise alive, he just replies, "Tell her there's no puppy."
Then she turns around to some closed brown curtains, and her excitement rises at the prospect of figuring out the surprise.
