Wow. This is one of the most touching, heartbreaking and, ultimately, heartwarming tales I've ever heard. When she was finally rescued, it was discovered that Starfish was so badly abused by her previous owners that she had just about every health condition you can think of — a shattered skull, dehydration, rotting teeth, broken tail, nearly deaf and blind — the list goes on. Triumphantly, this video picks up two years later, after Starfish had found her forever family — and what I saw and discovered about this "little dog that could" completely blew me away. You see, Starfish has a couple secrets, and they only prove what a miracle she truly is.
Starfish ultimately passed away while in the care of her loving forever family — as if she had been waiting her whole life to experience her "second puppyhood" before passing on. And I'm SO happy she was able to get that 🙂 There's no better ending to this story.
