Pit bulls are singled out as the most vicious of dog breeds — but the following video is proof that their reputation isn’t always fitting.
The breed has long been stereotyped despite people’s attempts to end the stigma, like Brian Batista, who created the photo series Tattoos & Rescues. We’ve also introduced you to Craig Mosher’s paralyzed pit bull Loois, whom he called the “kindest little creature you’ll want to meet in your life.”
This YouTube clip shows a tiny Chihuahua who's much more frightening than a pit bull that’s more than twice its size.
The little pooch is seen barking viciously and even jumping in the pit bull’s face. (Just see how he acts at the :17 mark!) Just watch the video and it will become very clear why he’s been dubbed the “Killer Chihuahua," while his victim earned the title of "Sweet."
But it’s not unusual for smaller dogs to exhibit vicious behavior. Research found that Chihuahuas are among the most aggressive canines and are more likely to bite humans and other dogs than most other breeds, according to a 2008 study by Applied Animal Behaviour Science.
While the study also found that pit bulls were sometimes very aggressive toward other dogs, they were much less likely than Chihuahuas to be hostile with humans.
