When 17-year-old Danielle Lopez found Tink, the stray cat was in bad shape and in desperate need of care.
"If we didn't take her home she would have died," Lopez said. "She was all bones."
Luckily for Tink, Lopez and her family were able to nurse her back to health, and she grew up to be a healthy cat.
Today, she's all grown up, and this Christmas, she decided to surprise her humans with a little holiday miracle of her own, and it all started under the tree.
Now, usually cats and Christmas trees don't mix well, but Tink proved otherwise when she chose the secluded area under the tree as a place to start a new family.
Lopez found Tink under the tree one morning. "I heard a soft meow and thought it was our other kitty, and then saw the firstborn crying," she says.
With Lopez keeping a watchful eye over her, Tink gave birth to three more kittens right there under the tree. And the Lopezes were so delighted that they've decided to keep the whole family.

Tink was the runt of a litter and a stray when 17-year-old Danielle Lopez found her.
She was also malnourished and likely wouldn't have survived without Lopez's intervention.
Luckily, she found a home with the Lopez family and grew up to be healthy and happy.
Today, she's a grown-up, and decided it was time to start a family of her own.
She decided to start one with the Lopezes' other cat, Sagwa.
One morning, Danielle Lopez came out to find Tink giving birth right under the Christmas tree.
"I was in shock," she says. "I started running around the house to lock up [Sagwa] and grab towels to help her."
She wanted to keep Sagwa away, as male cats can sometimes get aggressive around kittens. Better to be safe than sorry.
All in all, Tink had a litter of four kittens, who were appropriately named Noel, Joy, Christmas, and Faith.
The little miracle delighted the Lopez family so much that they've decided to keep the kittens, which means they'll all be able to grow up together.
Meanshile, Danielle's photos began circulating Twitter, melting the hearts of people all over the world.
Shortly after the birth, the new family was moved into a basket with plenty of blankets, and the tree skirt was cleaned. Everyone is doing very well.
Faith, Joy, Noel, and Christmas are still tiny and spending all their time with their mom, but soon they'll be up and about and exploring the world.
