Corgis have always been treated like royalty. Maybe it’s their history of being favored by British royalty for more than 70 years that has earned them this title, but who can blame this breed for the favoritism, they are adorable! It’s no different for this corgi as he gets the top-notch treatment by getting tucked into bed for a casual afternoon nap.
As Moppy the corgi lies on his back, he soon finds himself getting tucked into bed with his favorite blanket covering most of his body, except for his face and two paws hanging over the top. As he looks to the camera, you can tell by his expression that he is one relaxed corgi.
Not long after that, he starts to shut his eyes and fall into a deep sleep, making him even more lovable than he already was!
No one really knows why, but this breed, along with a few others, loves to sleep on their backs with their four paws up in the air (kind of like this sleepy puppy does). For the most part, it’s because dogs are trying to cool down and can do so more comfortably in this position, but maybe it’s their way of giving us a subtle hint that they want a belly rub instead. Either way, it’s adorable and hilarious to witness a dog laying and sleeping on their back!
