When it comes to my dogs, I am always on the lookout for ways to make them even happier — which is why I love finding unique, luxurious doghouses!
I've seen all kinds of creative DIY doghouses, like this elaborate house with secret underground chambers. But when I spotted this incredible fire station-themed doghouse, I knew I had found a DIY project that my dogs would absolutely fall in love with.
I found this project on Imgur, where one creative DIYer not only created a doghouse with a rooftop balcony, but he turned it into a cool doggie fire station. His two rescued dogs are going to truly enjoy their new firehouse home, complete with an upstairs doggie bed.
This is the perfect canine playground and doghouse in one. And it would make a great addition to any dog-lover's yard.

This dog-loving DIYer decided to make his two rescued canines one of the coolest doghouses on the block.

He began by building a solid wood foundation out of 2x4s, then spraying it with a waterproof sealant.

Using wood glue, nails, and screws, he began to erect the walls of the doghouse.

He added a slanted plywood roof to the top.

He then added an upstairs deck for his dogs to lay out in the sun.

He decided to create a nice staircase to lead to the upper deck.

With the staircase it place, it was time to paint and decorate. He used a red wood stain for the deck and the stairs.

He painted the doghouse itself a bold red with white trim. He also used grip tape on the stairs to make them easier to mount.

While the balcony was made for his two pups, he later had to go back and add supports to the staircase because his children insisted on playing on the house with the dogs.

It was finally time to make the short trip to the backyard. Luckily, the doghouse just fit between the main house and the fence.

Once in place, this amazing fire station doghouse was ready to go. Even the neighbor's dog came over to play on it.

This backyard house became a fun addition for the entire family.

At the moment, the ladder does appear like it might be a little dangerous, so the dogs can only use it under strict supervision. And the smart family is planning to build rails on the ladder to make it safer for their precious pups to use.
This dog-loving DIYer made something very special for his dogs — a gorgeous firehouse-themed doghouse that is fun, comfortable, and well-built!
