Owner Hits Record When She Sees Rottweiler Stare Down Rabbit In Backyard, But They’re Best Friends

Growing up, my dog would always beg to be let out into the backyard if he spotted any small critter he could chase after.

In the video below, however, those roles are totally reversed when the rottweiler becomes best friends with a white rabbit in his backyard.

I love seeing dogs making unexpected friendships like this. It just goes to prove that they aren't just man's best friend — they're also friendly to anyone who will return their adorable affection (even if there are occasionally some bumps on the road to becoming besties).

But there's nothing like that to worry about when it comes to these fluffy pals enjoying a beautiful day out in the grass.

It's unclear whether they're both owned by the person behind the camera or if the critter just happened to pop by for a playdate. Either way, you can't help but smile at the big, bulky pooch letting himself be chased by the tiny bunny!

Most people assume rottweilers are aggressive or naturally mean-spirited. Obviously, that couldn't be further from the truth. Like pit bulls, there is no one way to describe an entire breed, and it's high time everyone on the planet knew that.

Has your dog ever made friends with a rabbit or other critter in the yard?
