Foster Mom Gives Aging Pup Her Own ‘Bucket List’

For sick, senior dogs in shelters, life is no picnic. Often, they don't get the kind of love and care they need later in life. Between needing medication and around-the-clock care, these dogs don't have much to look forward to.

But one kind-hearted woman is making a difference for just one of those dogs.

Greta is a senior dachshund. She also has tumors throughout her body. Because of her age and illness, Greta is nearing the end of her life. But she's doing so in style, with a little help from her foster mom, Janis Davis.

She was found as a stray, with a gaping wound in her body. She was given stitches, and then placed in a shelter, where Janis saved her. And thanks to her, she now has a bucket list and a lot to look forward to.

According to her mom, Greta loves to sit in the car and look out the window, among other things. And now they're checking one item off the bucket list at a time. Greta has already indulged with an egg breakfast, many walks, and picking out her new favorite toy! You can even follow Greta's journey on Facebook!

We hope Greta gets to do many more of her favorite things very soon!
