Many of us have experienced the horror of accidentally hitting an animal while driving, but very few have driven another 200 miles to find that animal stuck in our car's bumper…alive.
A man in China called Mr. Zhang found himself going through both of those situations after he hit a dog while driving on a road trip. He was going so fast that he assumed that the dog had either been killed on impact or, if he'd just been clipped, ran off — so he didn't get out of his car to check to see if the dog was injured. Two hundred miles into his trip, however, he heard barking coming from the front of his vehicle and got the surprise of his life.
Like this dog that survived both being hit by a car and being buried alive, the dog that Mr. Zhang had hit beat incredible odds and lived through the accident. But his predicament wasn't over; the poor pup was stuck inside the man's bumper and had inadvertently traveled a very, very long way with Mr. Zhang. This lucky pooch had already survived a harrowing ordeal, but now the question remained if he'd ever be able to get free from the vehicle that had nearly killed him.
Don't worry — this story has a very happy ending. It's incredible how such a crazy accident can turn into a beautiful miracle!

The poor puppy was very much alive, but definitely a bit stuck after being hit by Mr. Zhang's car in the Hunan province of China.
Rather than risking hurting the poor pup by trying to get him out alone, Mr. Zhang carefully drove until he found a veterinarian who could help him free the dog.
Together, they managed to free the trapped animal from the bumper of the car — after a grand total of 248 miles of travel. Miraculously, this lucky dog didn't have any serious injuries!
