Robin had been through the kinds of things most dogs should never have to experience.
The tiny, frail dog was a victim of harsh abuse. Robin was even kicked around like a football by his past owner.
Fortunately for Robin, he was rescued from all of the violence that surrounded his melancholy situation.
In a video posted on December 12, 2016, he's seen being taken to the animal hospital where his horrific condition became clear.
The poor dog was suffering from a broken diaphragm, caused by his past owner’s careless kick.
With his internal organs pushed up toward his heart and lungs, Robin needed an emergency surgery in order to save his life.
Quickly, the time came for Robin’s surgery, but it definitely wasn’t an easy one. The surgeons had to release the enormous amount of pressure from his organs and then reconstruct his diaphragm.
To say the procedure was rough on the small dog would be an understatement. Nevertheless, he pulled through.
Months later, Robin healed into an almost unrecognizable dog, and he now shares a home with two other canines. Gone is the sad, lethargic pup he once was; instead, Robin now has a healthy amount of energy and a little pep in his step. Having a supportive owner will do wonders too.
