A Soldier Is Killed…And 2 Dogs Stop At His Home To Pay Respect!

The tragic shooting at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada has broken the hearts of dogs as well as humans.

Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was killed "in cold blood" by gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau  as he stood guard at the National War Memorial on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.

The 24-year-old soldier was not only a father, but a known dog lover.

On Oct. 23, two dogs were captured resting their heads under a gate near a tribute of flowers and flags at his family home in Hamilton, Ontario, ABC News reports.

As it turns out, the two dogs belonged to Cpl. Cirillo, and indeed were mourning their daddy.

"On behalf of all members of the House of Commons Security Services team, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo. Our prayers are with you," Sgt. at Arms Kevin Vickers, the man who shot and killed the gunman, said in a recent statement.
