If you're anything like me, then even the smallest interruption to your commute will ruin your morning.
Being late for work over something that you can't control is an incredibly helpless and frustrating feeling.
As you can imagine, the New York City metro system suffers its share of delays thanks to incidents like sick passengers, signal problems, and plenty of others I can't even begin to try to understand. Of course, I am not alone, because no city's public transport system is safe from interruptions like this.
San Fransisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit train — BART for short — was halted today, but not for a routine reason.
The train system's Twitter account was quick to update commuters that there was a dog on the tracks and that it would cause delays.
Like any guilty dog, this one was hard to stay mad at — even for the thousands of commuters who got off to a late start because of him.

Commuters shared photos of the mysterious dog that was seen running along the tracks.
One Twitter user shared this photo, calling the canine, "The infamous @SFBART dog."
As you can imagine, everyone was worried to see a four-legged creature getting tangled up in the train tracks, and train service was quickly halted.
As soon as the authorities were alerted of the intruder, service was halted.
The train service Tweeted out, "There is a dog on the trackway near the Coliseum. We are working to safely get the dog. We need to single track until it is clear."
Unfortunately, it was taking the responders a while to catch the dog, and there was plenty of time for onlookers to snap shots of the action while they waited.
The pooch kept taking off and running around, evading capture on the tracks.
While some commuters were clearly upset about being late, many admitted that they thought it was actually a legitimate reason to cause delays.
One user replied to the updates, "I've been delayed because HUMANS wouldn't get out of the doorway +the doors wouldn't close. Id rather a dog get rescued any day! Thanks!"
Since it was taking police so long to catch the dog, other Twitter users joked about luring him with food.
One shares, " HAVE YOU TRIED SNACKS SFBART DOGS LIKE SNACKS."
Another user jokes, "Someone pls sacrifice your lunch as bait for the dog! I would but I have a salad."
Luckily, the trains were able to start running again as they honed in on the dog's location.
Finally the authorities were able to catch the culprit. Although it's hard to call him that when he looks like such a good boy.
The dog, who did not have any tags or a microchip, was taken to the Oakland animal shelter.
We hope they name him Bart!
If you or anyone you know is missing this little guy, make sure to let them know that he's safe and where he is.
If he's a stray pup, which seems to be the case, we hope he finds an awesome furever home soon!
