This labrador retriever is a true hero! When Cecil Williams fainted on a subway platform in New York, his dog jumped into action to save his blind owner from an oncoming subway train. Staying by his owner's side, the dog remained on the tracks and barked for help. The pair were struck by the oncoming train, but THANKFULLY they survived and only had minor injuries!
After the incident, widespread concern grew over whether the guide dog would be able to keep living with Williams. (At nearly 11 years old, the pup is set to retire, but Williams’ insurance will only pay for an actively working dog.) After this news was made public, donations began to pour in so that the hero dog could keep living with his owner after he retires from service this year. How sweet! I'm so happy he gets to keep his best friend.
