Growing up, I never had the luxury of a pet puppy (I did have a pet turtle, though), so I can't really relate to the scream-heavy reaction of the kids in the video below.
I'm sure the poor puppy can't relate either!
The video begins with a trio of siblings, two girls and one boy, sitting on their couch with faces completely covered by giant pillows.
Dad is behind the camera, saying, "Don't peek."
Unbeknowst to the kids, Mom has just placed a little puppy on the table, a gift for the family.
"OK, peek," Dad says… and absolute chaos ensues!
The moment they remove the pillows and see the adorable puppy wearing a little green shirt, the kids completely lose it. The girls let out a pair of piercing screams, causing the puppy to bolt into Mom's arms.
"Girls! Why'd ya'll do that?" Dad asks.
I mean, I can sympathize: at the end of the day, who wouldn't be excited at the prospect of a surprise puppy? However, the girls seem to realize that perhaps their terrifying screams were a bit over the top!
They immediately cover their mouths and lightly step forward to meet their puppy — more gently this time!
