No One Wanted This Blind Dog. How He Got To ‘See’ The World? I’m In TEARS

Many times in life we feel like we wear invisible signs around our necks.

"I'm not good enough." "I'm too old." "I'm ashamed of my body." When Angela Padilla was battling cancer, her sign was more obvious, but she still felt like she wore a sign that said "I am pitiable." Needless to say, it was an extremely difficult time in her life, so to distract herself from her disease, she started volunteering with dogs. She said that the dogs made her feel normal again, never judging her and only giving her unconditional love.

When she recovered, Padilla decided to give back to the animals who she believes helped save her life. She started Family Dog Rescue in San Francisco, which focuses on rescuing dogs with medical issues from old age, dogs with problems from inbreeding, dogs with depression, and more. Each and every one of the dogs in this next video wears some sort of sign around their necks. If we think we're judged by others, just think of a sickly-looking dog at the pound.

In the following video, Padillo describes her mission and how Family Dog Rescue saves over 800 dogs every year. If you're a dog lover, this is one video you don't want to miss.
