Dogs aren't known as "man's best friend" for no good reason.
They act as protectors, loyal companions, and family members, and they ask for nothing in return but love and a little food to get by. That's why it's so hard for me to imagine why anyone would want to see an innocent animal suffer. Unfortunately, we see the good and the bad here at LittleThings, but there's really nothing more awesome than a rescue story like this one, where nearly 100 dogs were saved from the worst puppy mill you can imagine.
Although we don't know much about Frank, the dog in this next video, we were completely heartbroken when we read his story on nonprofit rescue organization Justice Rescue's Facebook page. Justice Rescue's Humane Police department received an emergency call about a dog that was shot at five days and left for dead in Chester City, PA. According to the post, Officer Russell Harper responded immediately to the call and rushed Frank to the emergency veterinary hospital, where he underwent surgery.
The outcome looked grim, but Frank, named after animal lover St. Francis of Assisi, but luckily his life was saved. This miracle pup still has a long road to recovery, but as you can see in the following clip, he isn't just happy to be alive, he's forever grateful to his rescuer, Officer Harper.
If you enjoyed this happy reunion, make sure to check out how this brave dog's life was saved.
