TK German Shepherd With Megaesophagus Has Special Chair

When it comes to being a pet owner, taking care of our animals is almost as important as taking care of ourselves and our human family members. Okay, sometimes it's more important, just don't tell my husband that I said so. When they're sick, or feeling out of sorts, it affects us more because they can't tell us where the hurt is, and so we feel as helpless as they do to try and get them back on all fours as quickly as possible. So for this German shepherd named Chuck's owners, when their fur baby got diagnosed with a rare disorder called megaesophagus, they knew they needed to do something for their beloved pet. Chuck's condition meant that she wasn't able to properly swallow her food, because the muscles in her neck weren't able to properly push the food down into her stomach. The condition can be uncomfortable for animals and their owners, who will sometimes even have to go so far as to help their pet swallow and then massage the food down the esophagus from the outside. Facing such a tough diagnosis, Chuck's clever owners came up with a solution to help their dog eat on her own again. Surely if Chuck were sitting up like a human, gravity would help do the work that her esophagus could not!   https://www.littlethings.com/chuck-and-his-high-chair/
