Sami the German shepherd has never had puppies, but that hasn't stopped her from showing off her motherly side. Her owner claims that this sweet dog has acted just like a mommy to human babies, kittens, and even a snake, but that didn't prepare anyone for what Sami would do when she came face-to-face with a lobster.
We've seen before just how far mothers are willing to go to protect the ones they love. This elephant blocked off an entire road to make sure her young calf got across safely, but what makes Sami's actions even more incredible is that she isn't even the same species as the lobster! But just like this dog who stopped one of his own kind from eating a tiny hamster, this protective pooch isn't afraid to stand up to anyone around her to make sure that her lobster friend stays right by her side.
What really impressed me about Sami was that she made her intentions clear without ever getting aggressive. She bared her teeth at the other dog, but that's just the canine version of saying, "Stay away." With the humans in the room, all she did was use her face and paws as blockades to keep them from reaching the lobster. What a smart girl!
Whether Sami was protecting the lobster because she wanted to be friends with it, or she just wanted to eat it all for herself, there's no denying that she was upset when it was finally taken away from her to be turned into dinner. I'm a huge seafood lover, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat lobster again after seeing this sweet video!
