We're frequently reminded that there are animals in need at every turn — and that some of the most broken animals are the ones who are most willing to share their love with us.
According to statistics from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), “approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats.” 31 percent of dogs and 41 percent of cats of those put in shelters are euthanized.
That's what makes what Vet Ranch Rescue so incredible. Much like another rescued and injured pup whose life they saved recently, the one in the video below has seen far too much. Dr. Matt himself drove an hour both ways to save Ginger from being euthanized. The reason they were going to put her down? A tumor that made walking painful for her.
But as you'll come to learn after watching her incredible recovery in the video below, after saving Ginger's life and removing her benign tumor, Ginger proved just as ready for adoption as any pup — a loving, sweet example of all that these wonderful animals have to offer when given the chance.
Warning: Parts of this animal rescue are graphic and may be upsetting to some viewers.
