Cats have resilient personalities.
People who do not like cats might call them elusive and standoffish, which isn't entirely untrue, but also isn't without reason.
Typically, if cats aren't friendly, it's because they have been hurt in the past and they are not looking to be hurt again.
But there are many cats who have suffered abuse and neglect that didn't let that ruin that their personalities. They continue to be sweet and loving cats, even when they haven't been shown proper love and care.
Giselle is a blind, 2-year-old munchkin cat that to nobody wanted, which isn't common among munchkin cats. They typically are as popular as purebred cats, as they're small and considered cute, like teacup dogs.
But Giselle has many health issues that stem from being a munchkin, so she was dumped at a shelter, covered in her own feces and urine. While all the cats and kittens around her got adopted, Giselle remained at the shelter.

Giselle was brought into Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) after a Boston family determined her health issues meant she was too much to handle.
"She was covered in urine and feces. She was so matted. And she's blind. When she came to us, I was like, 'I don't know if we can help this cat,'" Alyssa Krieger, manager of the MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center and Giselle's foster mom, told The Dodo.
Not only is Giselle blind, but it also appeared that she had a lung infection. After seeing a vet, it was confirmed that her difficulty breathing stems from her tiny rib cage and will be an issue she has her entire life.
Since being fostered, Giselle has started coming out of her shell. Alyssa decided to start an Instagram account for her to show that she has a fun personality and hopefully helps get her adopted.
But she never expected the turnout that happened! She got over 3,000 emails from people all around the world looking to take Giselle in.
Now Alyssa is sorting through all of the applicants to look for the perfect home, where her new owners can love her, despite all of her health obstacles, and will give Giselle the best life.
Don't forget to SHARE Giselle with all of your friends and family to raise awareness for munchkin cats like her!
