Bringing a pet into your home can teach you many valuable life lessons. For instance, it can teach you the value of splurging on the nondiscount puppy pads for those first few months of potty training your four-legged friend. The little cuties in the video below, however, help pass along a less messy message of friendship and love.
One look at Maya, Minnie, and Peanut, and it's obvious that one of those things is definitely not like the others. However, the sweet hedgehog's doggie sisters don't mind their spiky sibling one bit. In fact, the trio loves spending all their time together. Maya, the oldest dachshund, takes on a maternal role when it comes to the young pup and hedgie. Her calm temperament evens out their more rambunctious personalities perfectly. With their adorable powers combined, the unusual family has gained over 30,000 followers on their Instagram page.
Their silly antics never get old, although I'm sure Maya would prefer the youngsters stop their habit of taking over her food bowl at dinnertime. Not that she is ever aggressive to Minnie or Peanut about it! Instead, she either scarfs the whole meal down as quickly as possible before they can get their paws on it or takes the high road in letting them have at it.
Hopefully, as the younger two get a bit older, they'll stop their habit of stealing food. Either way, I just hope they keep posing for their owner's camera!
