Lost Hawk Wanders Inches From Speeding Highway Traffic Before Swarm Of Officers Appears

All too often, when driving on the highway, you might spot a poor animal soul that didn't make it across the multiple lanes. It's never an easy sight to look at, but it's become such a regular thing that we don't really pay much attention to it anymore.

However, when Good Samaritans saw one hawk on the side of the road, they noticed that he was taking a stroll in the very narrow breakdown lane. These folks didn't want to see this majestic bird die an untimely death, so they called their local authorities.

But, it wasn't just the police that came to the rescue. When all was said and done, there were three different organizations on the scene to rescue this bird.

When Cromwell, CT, authorities got the call, members from Connecticut State Police, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection all showed up to lend a hand to this bird who'd lost his way.

Multiple state agencies showed up to the scene to check on the bird, as it was unclear what kind of state this feathered creature was in.

Citizens sent their appreciation to the Connecticut State Police when the department posted this rescue on their Facebook page. It's not just the people that receive the help they need, but the animals, too.

What an amazing turnout of authority to respond to the needs of one lone feathered friend. This bird could have been hit by a speeding car, left to die by the side of the road. Now, instead, he will get the rehabilitation the he needs.

It's all just a day on the job for these state workers!
