A Dog Abandoned On The Street Gets A Second Chance At Life

Every year in the United States, approximately 2.7 million dogs are killed in shelters, simply because they don't have the room or resources to care for these strays.

Although we don't know how many of those dogs were born on the streets and how many were left for dead or taken away from their incompetent owners, it's clear that way too many of these dogs fall in the latter category.

Animal abandonment is a crime no matter how you look at it. Other people, like Eldad Hagar and his crew of amazing heroes at Hope For Paws, are left to clean up the mess, which in many cases is the best possible scenario, as these dogs are way better off in the end.

In the following story, we learn about a dog who was dumped by her owner and waited on the street for days for someone to help her. The poor thing was still loyal to the evil people who didn't even care enough to bring her to a shelter, so when Hagar and the Hope For Paws team got the call, they knew they needed to act fast.

With help from animal rights activist Victoria Van Violence, Hagar rescued the dog, who they named Jill, and gave her a beautiful makeover…and a second chance.

Everything about this rescued dog screams happiness. I'm so happy she finally knows what love truly feels like!
