Humphrey The British Bulldog Is Bad At Stopping. When I Saw Him Play Catch, I Was In Stitches!

There’s a thing pets sometimes do where they get so excited, so overwhelmed with joy that they’re incapable of completing simple tasks in spite of themselves. Watching a dog clumsily stumble over himself, bless his heart, is painfully adorable.

We once shared with you a  video of a dog whose pre-dinner dance was so enthusiastic, he literally jumped for joy (or perhaps more appropriately, bounced like a bunny). And of course there’s the one of the pup whose prune drove him mad with elation. He writhes and wriggles around on the ground as happy as a clam with his fruit in-mouth. Or even another happy puppy who received 800 tennis balls as a birthday surprise. These are all good examples of that too-happy-to-handle-it excitement that melts our dog-loving hearts.

The video you’re about to watch is another great example of a dog who clearly lives in a happy and healthy environment. Humphrey the British bulldog’s human family takes him out on a bright and sunny day to play a good old game of fetch, but as the video’s description notes, there’s a very important part of this game that could use some work — the stopping part.
