She Says “I Love You!” To Her Dog. His Response Leaves Her In Stitches!

It's the three little words that make everyone happy, "I love you" — but you're about to hear them in a way unlike ever before.

It's usually parrots that have the reputation for repeating what their owners say to them, but in the video below, we get to see a cute basset hound named Joey hanging out on the couch with Mom who says "I love you" back when prompted. As you can see, Mom is thrilled by her talkative pup, who's not only adorable, but positively brilliant!

The way he looks back at her with those big, puppy dog eyes, those floppy ears, and that low growl… It's so cute, I can hardly stand it. I love it when I see people and their dogs just enjoying each other's company so much.

The basset hound is a short-legged breed of dog from, as their name suggests, the hound family. Despite being known for their relatively lazy personalities, they were originally bred for the purpose of hunting rabbits and hare. The name basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning "low" — like these low-to-the-ground pups on their short, little legs.
