If you sit behind a desk at work all day, chances are at some point in your life you have felt the intense need to get out and get some fresh air. Studies have shown that walking and stepping away from the desk improves mood and decreases stress, but one animal shelter realized that you can also do some good while taking your daily breather.

The Lost Dogs Home in Melbourne, Australia came up with the genius plan to host a fundraising program to help homeless dogs get adopted. They came up with the "Human Walking Program", which lets people get out of the office and help take these unwanted, unloved fur babies for a stroll. Best of all, many of the doggies found forever homes after the event.
