A blind, black lab was shot several times and left for dead when a miracle happened. Left in the middle of a wooded area, the dog could barely walk because her leg was severed, and she had four bullet wounds. That's when 16-year-old Cole Bodelson and a group of friends found the starving dog as they were off-roading in Santa Fe.
They knew the dog needed immediate emergency care, so they carefully picked her up and drove her to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. The dog received amazing medical care and after recovering from all her surgeries, she was put up for adoption. Although the dog's leg and eyesight were gone, one family was so touched by her story and her rescuers that they decided to adopt her.
Today, she is living an amazing life and has gained a loving forever family! It's so wonderful that this dog, now known as Lily, is getting a second chance. Wait until you see her now!
Detectives are still searching for the person responsible for her shooting, and the case remains open. Please SHARE this story with everyone you know, so we can get justice for Lily.
