It was a typical morning for Imgur user ablom2009 — or at least, it seemed like one.
But any semblance of a normal morning began to crumble when ablom2009 noticed that the hallway floor was speckled with small white feathers, seemingly leading deeper into the house. A mystery!
Luckily for us, the owner of three golden retrievers decided to invite the internet to come along as the Mystery of the Tiny Feathers unfolded.
It soon became evident that foul play was afoot, and there were three witnesses: Fenway, Brittany, and Jackson, all golden retrievers — and all possible suspects.
And we all know that dogs aren't always the best at hiding their guilt, even if they're not entirely sure of what exactly they did, and in this shocking crime, there was no exception. But there were three dogs, two innocent and one guilty. But who was who?
See how the mystery unraveled in this riveting photo series!

The morning started as usual in Imgur user ablom2009's house. But soon, something strange appeared.
The hallway floor was dusted in these tiny white feathers. Springing into action, ablom2009 began documenting the event.
"Possible victim: bird," the report began.
But soon, it became evident that there was no bird involved (thankfully) as the feather trail led down the hall and through the kitchen.
And here's where the suspects come in.
Suspect #1, ablom2009 reports, is Fenway. His motive is that he's a dog, but according to the report, he's too much of a good boy.
And really, look at that face.
Suspect #2 is Brittany. Also a dog, that means she's one to get into strange shenanigans.
However, Brittany is also 13 years old, and at this refined age, she's more into lounging than getting into mischief.
And as the feather trail led into the living room, that only left one suspect…
Jackson — who, as you can see, is totally not guilty of this pillow massacre.
Jackson, for his part, claimed complete innocence of this crime, and had no idea how all these feathers got all over the floor. Someone must have broken in!
Sorry, Jackson, it looks like you've been caught red-pawed.
Oh well, at least he has a cute mug shot!
