Oscar Wilde famously claimed that life imitates art. However, I have a feeling he likely didn't mean it quite as literally as the photos in the list below show.
You can't deny that the dogs, cats, and other critters certainly have an uncanny resemblance to their artistic surroundings — and that it makes each picture all the more adorable! Though some of the "art" may have been purposeful recreations by their doting owners, most are simply moments of discovering accidental doppelgängers. For instance, I can't imagine how lucky the woman in #6 felt when she dove into the ocean one day and found herself greeted by the real-life version of her tattoo.

Either someone thought they found some friends or this lady's tattoo artist got really good at details before finishing up the last butterfly.

I detect a little more sass in the real-life version of this precious painting, like she's asking, "Really?"
