Seven years ago, Julie Arango and her daughter Celina faced every pet owner's worst nightmare. Their beloved pet disappeared after digging a hole under a fence and escaping. The family looked for the dog for months, but they exhausted all the leads.
The heartbroken family had given up all hope of ever seeing Lola again. But this week, when Julie's phone rang, she got news she never expected — her Boston terrier had been found.
Miles away, Linda Gall, an animal advocate and former veterinary technician, answered an ad on Craigslist. Someone was giving Lola away for free after caring for her for almost seven years. When Gall took Lola to a vet, she discovered the dog had a microchip and immediately got in touch with the Arango family.
On Monday evening, Julie and her daughter drove from Homestead to Fort Lauderdale, FL to be reunited with their long-lost pet and the heartwarming reunion was all captured on camera.
This incredible story proves that dog owners should never give up hope or underestimate the resilience of their pet. And with a microchip, many families are able to be reunited with their beloved dogs.
