On November 30, police officers in Bellevue, WA, were doing their regular nightly rounds when one of them spotted something moving among the leaves at Robinswood Park.
An officer approached and realized that it was a small dog wearing a lime-green sweater with baseballs on it and blue pants. The dog, a Jack Russell terrier, was very freaked out when the cops found him.
After catching him and successfully getting him to an animal hospital, the police put out a call to the public on Twitter, writing, "Is this your dog? Caught by Officer at Robinswood Park. Was wearing a sweater and blue pants, and very angry."
Later, they let people know the following: "Our little friend is now in the custody of @kcpets. If owner doesn't claim he'll be available for adoption, pants not included."
After the police made this funny remark, people all over the internet started standing up for the dog and his fashion choices.
People said things like, "Of course he's angry. The sweater doesn't match those pants at all!" and "It's probably mad at its owner's fashion choices."
Others were less concerned about the dog's outfit and more worried about him going home.
They wrote, "I hope he found his home," along with messages like, "I hope he does find a good home. Or returns to his home," and, "Was probably abused. Please someone adopt him. The owners do not deserve him back."
Still others think that this dog was a true gift to society, offering an answer to the age-old question: How do dogs wear pants?
Hopefully this dog will be reunited with his family, or find a new forever home soon. If you like this story, please SHARE with your friends!
